Broken Record Prayers

Comprised of singles, rarities, and a smattering of newer tracks recorded over a ten year span, Broken Record Prayers provides listeners with a jagged musical timeline reaching back to the roots of Comet Gain. As a result of the duration of recording, the album is very multi-faceted. Face Control

Recommended Tracks: 1, 2, 5, 6
RiYL: Wolf Parade, …

I didn’t mean to put in Wolf Parade!” After checking the album to be sure, and a bit of research on the internet, I discovered why I was mistaken. It turns out that Dan Boeckner is a very busy man; currently, he fronts both Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs. Fans of Wolf Parade may have mixed impressions to this news if they have never heard Handsome Furs; how different can two bands with the same frontman really be? The answer: very.
